Meet the Counselor

7-12 Counselor

Jennifer Alley

Hi everyone!

My name is Jennifer Alley and I am the new School Counselor for Logan View grades 7-12! Last year I was at Omaha Public Schools working as a high school counselor. I am super excited for the opportunity to work, advocate, support, and come alongside students as they continue to prepare for their futures. A little bit about myself is that I am married, have five furbabies (three farm cats, two dogs), and I LOVE vacationing anywhere with mountains. Exercising, photography, and hanging out with my nieces and nephews are things I truly enjoy outside of my job. I look forward to this year and getting the opportunity to work in the Logan View community while getting to know students and helping them look towards life after high school. Please reach out if you have any questions as we begin the new school year!

Online Counseling Sign Up

WHAT -  When you would like to sign up your student to see the counselor, or would like to request a meeting with the counselor, complete the form and we will make it happen!

WHY - The two main reasons for implementing the online counselor sign up are to keep students in class as much as possible, and to do our best to insure student safety and accountability.

WHEN - The online sign up system allows students, parents, and teachers to sign students up at their convenience to see the counselor. The notification will be sent to the counselor, and they can then place the student on their schedule to meet during the school day.

Create and Maintain a Safe Environment at Logan View

Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among individuals that involves a real or perceived power imbalance.  The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time.  If you are subjected to bullying behavior or you witness this type of behavior, it is important that you report it as soon as possible.  Please contact your building principal, school counselor or fill out the online form as soon as you witness this type of behavior.

Anonymous Alert System - Logan View Public Schools

Anonymous alert is NOT an Emergency hotline.  If you are reporting an event that could immediately affect your school community, PLEASE Call 911 or your local emergency number.

Reports submitted here will be forwarded to a designated school administrator and at the school administration's option, to local enforcement agencies. No disciplinary action will be taken solely on the basis on an anonymous report. This report will be investigated in a timely manner.

If you fear a student is in IMMEDIATE danger, contact the appropriate resource (i.e. the principal, assistant principal,  school counselor, school resource officer,  law enforcement, or another adult)

Safe2Help NE is a school related tip management system that allows students, parents and community members that live in the Douglas County, Omaha, Nebraska area to instantly relay and submit secure and anonymous safety concerns to the appropriate school, law enforcement agency or crisis counselor.

Information shared from the student or community member can be related to harmful, dangerous or violent activity that is directed at schools, students or staff members or the threat of these activities. Some of these activities range from violence, suicide, weapons, domestic violence, inappropriate relationships, illicit drug use, threatening behavior, bullying, cyberbullying, self-harm and other acts of victimization that impact youth/students in Douglas County, Omaha, NE.
