Future Educator?

To be admitted to a Nebraska teacher preparation program, candidates must take and pass the Praxis® Core Academic Skills for Educators – a basic skills test that measures reading, writing, and math skills to determine a candidate’s readiness to enter a teacher education program.

With that in mind, I am asking those students who are considering teaching as a career to take the Praxis® Core test in their junior or senior year.

Praxis® results are good for 5 years!

Information about the Praxis® Core test can be found at this page
Dates, times and testing center locations can be found at this page

Transfer Nebraska

Transfer Nebraska provides students with a transparent and effective process for determining transfer credits. There are over 228,000 course equivalencies among the 16 Nebraska public colleges, community colleges, universities and several private colleges.  Most General Education courses are included.

Course-by-course guides are helpful if the student knows the exact class or classes needed to transfer. For the most up-to-date course by course transfer information click on the Transfer Nebraska and Transferology links below.

TRANSFER NEBRASKA
Nebraska’s higher education institutions have joined together to offer Transfer Nebraska, a one-stop site that provides you with a list of courses that will transfer from one school to another.

TRANSFEROLOGY
Transferology is a nation-wide network designed to help students explore their college transfer options. Students can answer the question "Will my courses transfer?" by adding coursework, exams and/or military learning experiences to see how many schools in the network have matching courses that may be awarded when they transfer. They can also find out what their options are for taking classes over the summer (or whenever) at another school to transfer back to their current school by using the "Find a Replacement Course" feature.

It is FREE to use.  Set up an account, fill in the information for the college classes that you have taken and find out the percentage of the classes that will transfer to a different financial institution.
