The pace of progress is brisk and crew continue to push forward with the next phases of the remodel. The pictures below give you an idea of how construction is progressing. I know the changes to parking, access and normal summer work isn't always fun to have to deal with. I appreciate all of our students, coaches, parents and summer school staff who have remained positive and flexible through this process.
The picture below is of the technology office. What I love about this part of the project is that moving forward there will be a dedicated location for technology/IT "stuff". In the past 4 years the tech office has moved three times based on who was in that role and if we needed that classroom for JAG or Health or for some other purpose. The central location of this office space creates relatively easy access not matter where you are within the facility. The large opening in the wall is a service window. Students who are experiencing issues with their device will use that service window instead of trying to figure out where Mr. Robey is or bringing it to the office.
The second image is the server room which is only accessible from the Tech office. What I love about this space is the ability to consolidate the server, switches, bell system, security system, phones and intercom into one central hub. Previously these items were located 4 different locations and connected with a web of cables.

The image below was taken right in front of the interior vestibule doors by the east entrance. The door you see is to the relocated business office. What I love about this location is the visibility to the east side of the building from an office space and its location away from the reception area. Teachers frequently visit the business office and removing that traffic from the reception area will help the overall flow in the reception area.

If you attended any of the informational sessions leading up to the bond issue you would have heard me talk about controlled access. What you see below is one point of control. This image is taken from the point of view of the lunch room looking back toward the area where the previous main office was located. This Central corridor can now be closed off with those doors to improve our ability to control access to part of the building after hours especially during events that take place in the lecture hall and dome gym. This is one of 4 sets of doors that accomplish this concept of controlled access. As we move through the different phases of our facility project, more controlled access points will be highlighted.

This final image is looking into the principal office from the short hallway adjacent to the reception area. What I love about the location of this space are the windows on the far side of the wall. The principal will have a direct line of site into the lunch room and be able to see all the way down to the dome from this office space.
