Three students had a great day attending a pre-employment conference at Metropolitan Community College. The conference was kicked off by Demoine Adams, a former Nebraska football player and CEO of Teammates, who gave a great message that there is not an "I" in team, but there is in "win".
Students attended morning sessions on career exploration and afternoon sessions on advocacy, self-care, interview skills, and accommodations in college. They were able to meet up with and get to know students from other districts and overall enjoyed the day.
