WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

Week 3 - Tregan Fitzke (Soph @ 215lbs)

(Fitkze Quote) - “Only the strong survive.”

(Streeter's Comments) - "Tregan has been quite the surprise this year. He has been wrestling at the 215 lb weight class all year so far despite weighing 180 lbs. His work ethic in general has translated well into the practice room and also in competition. He has put together a 14-4 record thus far, and has beaten some really quality opponents including a state qualifier from Tekamah-Herman (Twice). He has also medaled at all 3 of the tournaments we have competed in thus far. Only he and Chance Foust have done that. It’s clear that Tregan’s work ethic both on and off the mat have translated into a natural toughness and generated some quality competitor-like characteristics. It is clear he is excited about the work paying off when it does. Just a sophomore, Tregan has a very bright future of wrestling ahead of him. Especially when he grows more naturally into the weight class. Off the mat he is as good as on the mat. He communicates very well and is punctual with the communication, making sure that he has talked to me before possibly missing practice for whatever reason comes up. He’s very coachable and eager to learn more and more in the sport of wrestling. He’s very deserving of earning wrestler of the week as was requested by a number of his peerson Saturday at the Logan View invite."
