desks in a classroom

Dear Parents,

On Tuesday, April 4, 2023 all Jr. High and Sr. High students will be involved in standardized testing and other special activities throughout the day.  This day is a critical day in our school calendar.  Below are some ways that you may assist your student in making this a successful day.

**Attendance is crucial** Please be sure to schedule appointments around this day.  We are expecting 100% of our students in school on April 4th.  Please be sure your student is here on time in the morning. School begins at 8:20 am.

**Computers charged and ready**  Please be sure students have laptops here and fully charged for the day!

**Proper sleep** Monday night is a great night to relax and head to bed early!

**Healthy breakfast** Please encourage your student to eat a good, healthy breakfast.  The school will provide snacks throughout the day to aid concentration and memory.

The following is a list of the tests that students will take on this day.  Testing will mainly take place in the morning.

7th Grade: Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS)

8th and 10th Grade: Pre ACT

9th Grade: MAPS- Measure of academic progress

            11th Grade: ACT Test

Your role as a parent/guardian in preparing your student for this day cannot be overstated.  We appreciate all you are able to do to ensure a productive day for your child.
