One of Logan View's own is a master on the ice! Jacob Ten Kley, a junior at Logan View, earned the honor of being chosen to play in the 19th Annual High School Hockey Club All-Star Game.  Jacob started playing hockey in third grade while living in Fairbanks, Alaska.  He learned to skate just so that he could play hockey. He played three seasons for the Fairbanks Knights before moving to Hooper, NE.  He was in sixth grade when he started playing for the Fremont Flyers and played three years as a Flyer on both the House and Select teams.  As a freshman he was eligible to play for the Fremont Tigers high school team. The unique thing about playing hockey is that it is a “club” sport so he is playing with kids from many different high schools.  He’s been the only Logan View player at his age level since he started with the Fremont program.

Jacob has lettered in hockey every year since freshman year.  In regular season play this year, Jacob scored 9 goals and made 2 assists.
Being chosen, along with four of his teammates, to play in the All-Star Game is a huge honor.  The All Star teams are comprised of the top players from each team in the league.  It’s a fun game, but also brings with it the best competition with the top players being selected to participate.  The Tigers represented well on the Red Team with a total of 4 out of the 7 goals scored.  Jacob scored 2 of those goals!
The Tigers have played 20 games since the 2020-21 season began in October, with two more regular season games remaining.  They are currently ranked 3rd in the league with a 14-5-1 team record.  The Tigers are set to end the season strong as they begin the playoffs February 15th.  Due to current Covid restrictions, attendance at games is limited.  Visit the Fremont Tigers Hockey page to view games via Facebook live!!
Logan View congratulates Jacob for his accomplishments on the ice!!  Good luck in the playoffs!
