Emergency Bus Routes This Week
Recent snow melt has begun to cause deteriorating road conditions along several of our regular bus routes.  Current forecasts also call for the possibility of significant amounts of rainfall over the next couple of days.  It is possible that the additional precipitation combined with increased snow melt will impact road conditions enough along our bus routes to make the use of our emergency drop off and pick up locations a necessity throughout the remainder of this week.

This message is intended to inform our parents and students that utilize our bus routes of the possibility that road conditions throughout the remainder of this week might create the need for us to use our established emergency drop off and pick up locations instead of running our regular routes.  Use of the emergency drop off and pick up locations instead of the running the regular routes could begin as early as Tuesday afternoon.  The determination to utilize our emergency drop off and pick up locations will be made on a day to day basis and could possibly fluctuate between morning and afternoon routes within the same day.

  • If a decision is made to utilize our emergency drop off and pick up locations for Tuesday afternoon, that decision will be communicated to parents and students between 2 PM and 2:30 PM on Tuesday afternoon through the use of our School Messenger service (phone and email).  That information will also be communicated through the school website using the urgent message banner at the top of the homepage.
  • If a decision is made to utilize our emergency drop off and pick up locations for Wednesday morning, that decision will be communicated to parents and students between 6 AM and 6:30 AM on Wednesday morning through the use of our School Messenger service (phone and email).  That information will also be communicated through the school website using the urgent message banner at the top of the homepage.
  • Information about bus route decisions beyond Wednesday morning will also be communicated through our School Messenger service (phone and email). That information will also be communicated through the school website using the urgent message banner at the top of the homepage.

We realize that use of the emergency drop off and pick up locations may cause an inconvenience for some of our parents and students.  It is our intention accommodate our parents and students by utilizing our regular bus routes whenever it is safe and feasible to do so.
