PBIS is a school-wide system for helping all students achieve important social and learning goals. We know that when good behavior and good teaching come together, our students will excel in their learning. Our goal at Logan View Elementary is to create a climate that is positive, inclusive, and supportive for ALL students. We want all students to:
Be Respectful Be Responsible Be Safe
Take a look at the Behavior Expectation Matrix at the bottom of this page. Please take the time to ask your student what it means to Be Respectful, Responsible and Safe at Logan View Elementary and at home. Discuss what happens when they are making good behavior choices.
TIP OF THE MONTH:
Sit down with your student at home and create an Expectation Matrix for the different areas of your home. Go over Respectful, Responsible and Safe behaviors for each area and give examples ofexpected and unexpected behaviors (e.g. An expected behavior in the bathroom is flush the toilet, an unexpected behavior is to put a toy in the toilet water). Then talk about what will happen when expected behaviors are followed (e.g., hug from parent, high five, etc.) and not followed (e.g., no tv, time out, etc.).
