Mrs. Pat Kassmeier

This is my fourth year as Family and Consumer Sciences teacher at Logan View.  I am pleased to be a part of a school system that encourages lifelong learning, and excellence, in a caring environment. The career and technical courses I teach are 7th Grade Family and Consumer Sciences; Introduction to Family & Consumer Sciences; Food Science & Technology; Human Development; Textiles, Clothing & Design; Housing & Interior Design; and Independent Living.

I was born and raised on our family farm northeast of Schuyler, Nebraska and am a graduate of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.  I also worked on a masters degree through Loyola University.  My husband, Allan, and I live in Fremont.  We have two daughters, Kim Echtenkamp, and her husband, Dr. Frank Echtenkamp, who are currently residing in Munich, Germany; and Ally Kassmeier, and her fiance, Brandon Tharp who also live in Fremont.  Allan and I are looking forward to our first grand-baby next spring and a wedding next fall!  Family is the central focus of my work and is extremely important to me both personally and professionally!
I advise Logan View's Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Chapter and am currently serving as Nebraska's District 7 FCCLA Adviser.  I thoroughly enjoy watching our students grow through leadership opportunities, by setting individual and group goals that impact individuals, families, and communities while they learn to plan, problem solve, and carry out projects.
