Student Organizations
overview
In addition to challenging classroom instruction, Logan View offers an enriching variety of student activity organizations in which students may explore their special interests. These extracurricular organizations' activities are considered an integral part of the school’s program of education, helping students to develop and mature physically, mentally and emotionally.
Student organizations are developing their own home pages, featuring membership rosters and links to the national organization and opportunities, but are sharing a common news page to report on local activities and competitions and recognize student accomplishments. Logan View students, staff, district patrons and booster clubs, as well as local news writers contribute to these pages.
Pages for the 2009-2010 school year are coming soon! Public programs, activities and meetings will be posted on the home page of this Web site. The Nebraska School Activities Association is also a great resource for information on all school activities.
The element of competition and winning, though it exists, does not determine the nature or success of these programs. Students are stimulated to want to excel, but principles of good leadership, citizenship, group dynamics and community service prevail at all times. This is considered to be educationally and psychologically sound because it offers training for living cooperatively in a competitive society.
