Using Emergency Bus Routes

An alternative to the cancellation of school may be the utilization of emergency bus routes. Emergency bus routes are considered if road conditions prohibit the safe travel of school buses on the country roads, but it is determined that the hard surfaced roads are open and safe, and if numerous days of school have already been canceled due to bad roads.
