Meetings of the Board of Education
The regular meetings of the Logan View Public School Board of Education are held on the second Monday of each month. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. from November through April and at 8:00 p.m. from May through October. The board adheres to this meeting date unless additional meetings are required or, due to circumstances beyond the board’s control, the meeting cannot be held on the regular meeting date and must be rescheduled at the board’s convenience.
Meetings are open to the public unless the board is temporarily convened in a closed session.
Reasonable advance public notice (five days) is given for meetings and work sessions held by the board by a method designated and recorded in the board minutes. Notice is transmitted to the public and a copy kept readily available for public inspection at the office of the superintendent. Notice indicates the time, place, date and tentative agenda. Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda is not altered later than 24 hours before the meeting.
