FCCLA Family Night, District STAR, Sweetheart Dance

The family and friend potluck was a big success in spite of the weather. During our game session, we found out that many of our family is quite talented with their toes and that some of our family members don't mind chewing gum with the wrapper still on! A big thank you goes out to Kaleigh Nemec and Abby Stollberg for planning the entertainment and to the families & members for the fantastic tables of food.
District STAR competition was held at Logan View on Wednesday, February 3rd. Logan View had the following entries: Elliot Janssen & Kayla Bending in Illustrated Talk JR with the topic of "Sugar Overload", Austin Peterson & Brooke Ellerman in Promote and Publicize FCCLA, Marisa Ruwe and Kaliegh Nemec and Abby Stollberg in Interpersonal Communications with the topic of creating better communication within a student sport team. Stay tuned for pictures and results in the local newspaper.
FCCLA Week will be observed during the week of February 8-12. The officers have many activities planned for the week.
The annual Sweetheart Dance will be Saturday, February 27. The candidates will be selected and will be announced in the local newspaper. The dance is open to the Logan View High School students and their dates.
UPDATE: Congratulations to Carol Ready and Max VonSeggern , who were crowned 2010 Sweetheart royalty on February 27. Honored attendants were: Kendra Bloch, Samantha Evans, Jordan Johnson, Aly Pierce, Noah Blomendahl, Andrew Cameron, and Adam Kruger. Crown bearers were Katelyn Smith (daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Todd Smith) and Logan Booth (son of Mr. & Mrs. Bill Booth). A big thank you to dance sponsors Leisa & Mitch Miller, Will Stollberg, Lindsay Bartling, and Austin Katt. Music was provided by Jordan Hansen of North Bend.
