Spring Musical in Rehearsal

performances March 19, 20

Elizabeth Gillis

February 01, 2010

"The Ever After" is a musical comedy set during a popular daytime talk show. Host Monterey Jack Chesterfield Williamson resolves the differences between Cinderella and her estranged stepsister and deals with a prince turning into a frog -- all in one tidy episode replete with pauses for commercial sponsorship.

The cast has begun working on both the music and dialogue and are looking forward to performances for grade school students on March 17 at 1 p.m. and for the public on March 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. in the high school lecture hall. Public performance admission is $3.

While major character roles are cast, said director Elizabeth Gillis, several minor character roles are open for student audition. Students are encouraged to see Ms. Gillis if they are interested in an acting role or want to work backstage on scenery or other production crews.
