School Improvement Goals
NCA CASI update
February 02, 2009
Logan View belongs to and is accredited by the North Central Association (NCA) Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (CASI). This organization provides member schools with school improvement process guidance and assists in helping schools to identify instructional interventions that have shown to result in improved student achievement.
For the past several years, K-12 staff members have gathered and analyzed student achievement and intervention data; this data was used to formulate improvement goals. The two major goals identified through this process are
- Across the curriculum, all students will improve their math skills
- Across the curriculum, all students will improve their reading skills
The district has begun to implement a new math program and it will be implementing a new reading program to work toward math and reading skill improvement goals.
During the upcoming academic year, 2009-2010, an NCA-CASI-qualified external team of educational professionals will make school visits to evaluate our progress and make recommendations. District Prepares for a Quality Assurance Review
