Recycling Program Started by Logan View Senior
by Annie Magnusson
According to a 2008 EPA report, each of us uses approximately one 100-foot-tall Douglas fir tree in paper and wood products each year. This is why Alecia Rogers decided to make it count by starting a paper recycling program at the Logan View School site.
Alecia made over 50 recycling boxes to put throughout the school. She picks up the paper every Thursday and takes the recyclables to Uehling twice a month.
Alecia hopes this project will help teach students about saving our environment and wants other students to become involved in the future.
