Congratulations to the Logan View Band. Under the direction of Andrew Norris, members finished the marching season with a Superior 1 rating at the Madison Marching contest on Oct. 24. Watch video of the field performance, filmed by Linda Bohling.
The concert season opened Oct. 29 with performances by the junior high band and choir and by the senior high choir. Watch YouTube concert excerpts of each group:
Junior High Band, performing an alumni favorite "Dr. Rock" by John Edmondson
Junior High Choir, performing the American fiddle tune "Cripple Creek" by Emily Crocker
High School Choir, performing the patriotic medley "Song for the Unsung Hero" with words by P.Martin and Music by J.M. Martin. This performance piece features a trio solo by Emily Dahl, Leah Harmon and Elizabeth Uehling.
Mark your calendar for the winter concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 14. This seasonal concert will feature performances by the High School Band and Choir and by the Junior High School Band and Choir.
